CRC Letter to Centreville Town Council on Carter Farm Proposal

posted in: Blog, News | 0

The property known as the Carter Farm on Chesterfield Avenue in Centreville, is some of the last remaining undeveloped land within the town. Because the property has significant waterfront along the Corsica River, CRC has closely tracked proposals for its development. A recent proposal by the company Green Development/ReMake contains significant natural resource elements. These include the goal to minimize impervious surfaces, install best practices to control stormwater runoff, remove invasive plants, repair riparian buffers to improve habitat and water quality, and create public access to enhance community use and understanding of the value of our natural resources. CRC sent a letter to the Town Commisisoners on April 6th in support of these elements of the proposal.
