On Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 12 until 3 pm join with the Corsica River Conservancy and others at Conquest Beach for the annual Corsica River Day. Sponsored by the County’s Parks and Recreation Department, the event will feature organizations that work throughout the watershed. It is a great time for families to come out and learn about the river habitat. Master Gardeners can answer your questions about native plants. The ever popular passport will be available with questions (and answers) on different aspects of the natural world around us. A petting zoo, face painting, and free kayaking are among the many exhibitors. Conquest Beach is part of a successful effort to reintroduce local flora and fauna in a Natural Lands project preserve. You might even hear the “bob white” call of a quail. Food will be available for purchase and music can be enjoyed by all.
